This means we have immediate access to the results of laboratory work and Pap / biopsy results in order to get the information you need quickly. In addition , PRL ( PathologyReference Laboratory) allows our patients to check their regular pap and biopsy results through a secure portal phone only 3 short days after his visit.

Dr. Christopher Serrano is a native of Galveston. He graduated from Churchill High School and then attended the University of Texas at Austin , where he received his BA in Psychology with special honors for thesis research . He continued his education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio , receiving his medical degree in 1990.
He completed training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loma Linda University Medical Center and completed his residency in 1994 . He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Serrano is certified as DaVinci robotic surgeon . He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Medical Society of Bexar County . He has served as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CHRISTUS St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur , chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of Park Place and Chairman of the Department at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas .
In 1994 , Dr. Serrano and his wife , Christina , moved from California to Texas Gulf Coast to start a solo practice in Port Arthur , which proved to be a wonderful city to live and work as he delivered more than 3,000 babies in the community. In November 2009 , Dr. Serrano and his family moved to San Antonio to open a second private practice in Stone Oak after two hurricanes.
Hurricane Rita was a direct hit on Port Arthur in September 2005 . The city was without power for three weeks and closes for six weeks. The family of Dr. Serrano was temporarily moved to San Antonio schools while waiting for Hospitals Port Arthur to reopen .
Hurricane Ike hit three years later , in September 2008 . Again, the family was evacuated and the city was closed. The home of Dr. Serrano and office building survived both hurricanes with minimal damage . However, the two storms made him realize that he and his family would be happy to leave your home oasis in Port Arthur of San Antonio , where he and his wife have family.
A new beginning
